DANDENONG Transport group Mannway Logistics Pty Ltd has been placed in receivership ahead of a review of its operations and potential trade sale.
Ferrier Hodgson Partners George Georges, Brendan Richards and Morgan Kelly have been appointed receivers and managers of the business.
Mannway is a road transport operator with 330 staff, and a turnover of about $70 million a year and has distribution centres in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
Step up for a walk
DANDENONG workplaces are being encouraged to register for the 2009 Walktober Workplace Challenge and choose walking as their preferred mode of transport between 26-30 October.
Roads and Ports Minister Tim Pallas issued a challenge to workplaces to step up, take part and support sustainable modes of transport.
