Make it a dandy one

DENIS Walter will return to Dandenong for the 62nd Carols by Candlelight to help the local community get into the Christmas spirit.
Mr Walter, a perennial crowd favourite, will be making his fourth appearance at the Dandenong event in recent years.
This year he will be joined by Humprey B. Bear, Dandenong Festival of Music and Art for Youth winner Stacey Alleaume, the City of Greater Dandenong Band, the Dandenong Choral Society, Emerson School and the Windmill Theatre Company.
Father Christmas will make an appearance at the carols at 8.30pm.
Mr Walter said it was always good to come back to Dandenong.
“Given some nice weather there is no better place to celebrate Christmas than under the trees in the Dandenong Park,” he said.
The carols, organised by the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Friday 18 December from 7pm in Dandenong Park, Pultney Street.
Chamber president Robert Downing urged everyone to come along.
“It is a great family night with plenty of atmosphere,” he said.
