RESIDENTS are invited to enjoy a day of family fun and see what the Dandenong RSL has to offer at the 2010 Open Day this weekend.
The event will feature a variety of entertainment for all ages, including an animal farm where children can pat the pets, face painting, a sausage sizzle and live music.
It will also allow for existing member to relax and enjoy their facilities, new members to meet existing members and the committee, and non-members to join. City of Greater Dandenong Citizen of the Year and RSL welfare officer John Filmer said he encouraged people to come out and enjoy the day and see what the RSL offered the community.
General manager Graham Keating agreed.
“It’s a great opportunity for the public too check out the RSL, look at the memorabilia and see how we work and who we help,” he said.
“We support the local community. People can also inquire about how they can contribute and become community volunteers.”
The event will be held on Sunday 28 February, from 10am until 4pm.
