Trespasser dies after bashing

An alleged trespasser has died after being bashed during a fight at a Dandenong North home.

The man had been spotted by a resident acting suspiciously in the front yard of her home in Gladstone Road about 5am on Monday 2 December.

He was followed by the resident’s partner who confronted him and followed him to Carlton Road where they fought.

The man died in hospital several hours after suffering critical injuries in the fight.

The other man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the incident.
