A NEW building opened at Keysborough Secondary College this week.
The year nine building will provide flexible learning spaces and science classes for the school’s Banksia Campus.
Parliamentary Secretary for Education Inga Peulich was joined by Michael Small and Darren Clark from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Principal Heather Lindsay, teachers and students to open the new building.
“Today marks the completions of the first phase of the school’s upgrades,” Ms Peulich said.
“The new facility will have spacious learning areas decked out in ergonomic furniture and cutting-edge IT equipment.”
The new building is part of the merging of four local high schools into two campuses in Janine and Issacs roads, Keysborough.
Stage one is expected to be completed by June, followed by stage two in 2012.
Stages three and four will commence this year.
