Bulls set for blockbuster

The Eastern Football League match-of-the-season between Noble Park and Vermont has finally arrived.
The two undefeated sides clash at Noble Park Reserve this Saturday in a game certain to decide premiership favouritism.
After six wins each, the Vermont Eagles have a superior percentage, but the Bulls are ready to charge towards top spot on the ladder.
On Saturday the Bulls thrashed East Burwood by 66-points at East Burwood Reserve.
Lloyd Williams returned to season-best form and cut the East Burwood midfield to pieces.
David Velardo booted five goals for the Bulls and was well supported in attack by Heath Black (four) and star recruit Vic Currie (three).
The accuracy and efficiency of the Noble Park forward line has been top-notch this season and should prove a telling factor in the game against Vermont.
Vermont thrashed Mitcham by 104 points in its lead-up match.
Full-forward Matt Greig, who booted eight goals, headlined the dominant display.
Noble Park coach Shane Burgmann said Greig was fast off the mark and was vital to the Vermont attack.
“He’s very quick and moves well,” he said.
So which Bull will get the all-important job?
“Not me, I’m too slow these days,” Burgmann laughed.
“That decision hasn’t been made yet.”
Burgmann said he expected a big home crowd to get behind the Bulls on Saturday.
“It’s great to have the game at Noble Park and a good chance for the team to find out where we’re at,” he said.
But victory won’t come easily as the Bulls will need a full list of contributors to down the Eagles.
Williams and Currie must remain in good touch and Brent Williams will need to kick a bag of goals.
This is one game certain to go down to the wire.
All will be revealed when the Sherrin is bounced at 2pm on Saturday.
