Hunt is on for boys’ attackers

By Shaun Inguanzo
A 15-YEAR-OLD boy required 20 stitches to his lip after he and his 16-year-old friend were assaulted in Keysborough last week.
Springvale CIU detective senior constable Scott Wells said police were urging anyone with information to come forward after the late-night attack on Friday, 3 November.
Det Sen Const Wells said the two boys were walking through a reserve between Perry Road and Rosene Court at 10.30pm when they came across a group of three or four males.
Det Sen Const Wells said the boys told police the group attacked them as they walked by.
One of the teenagers was left requiring 20 stitches to a cut in his top lip.
Police believe the group’s members were of Maori or Islander appearance.
Any information should be reported to Det Sen Const Scott Wells at Springvale CIU on 9546 2929, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
