Wife saw husband assaulted

THE WIFE of a 22-year-old man looked on helplessly as three men assaulted the Clayton man in a Springvale car park last week.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the man was assaulted when he attempted to leave a car park in Springvale at 4.40pm on Friday 2 November.
Police believe the man drove out of the car park opposite the rear of the Arcade on to Buckingham Avenue, between Balmoral and Windsor avenues.
A red Honda Civic containing three people of Asian appearance blocked the exit.
The man asked the driver of the Honda to move but to no avail. Police said that with this, the man got out of his vehicle to again ask them to do so.
But two men left the Honda, leaving a woman passenger in the front seat.
Police believe they attacked the man, hitting him with what was thought to be a Club lock as his wife watched on helplessly.
After the attack, the man drove home and discovered slash wounds on his torso.
His wife then drove him to the Monash Hospital for treatment.
Anyone who may have seen the incident or has any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au
