Police hunt for meat cleaver attacker

POLICE are searching for a man who attacked a Noble Park man with a meat cleaver late last month seriously injuring him.
This week Victoria Police released an image of the attacker and his utility and have called for public assistance in identifying him.
About 4.45am on Tuesday 20 March, a man and his girlfriend were driving along Westall Road in Clayton.
Police said the pair were followed back to an Avon Street, Noble Park, house by two unknown men.
The two men then attacked the first man with a crowbar and a meat cleaver, as well as taking his mobile phone and cigarettes.
As a result, the Noble Park man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Dandenong Hospital, where he required stitches.
The attacker’s vehicle is believed to be a Holden Commodore utility with red stripe and ladder racks.
Anyone with information on the attack is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestoppers.com.au.
