Retailers recognised

EXCELLENCE among Central Dandenong retailers was recognised at the Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association (DRTA) Business Awards last week.
Awards were presented following the general meeting of the association at the Dandenong Club.
Winners of the 2008 Dandenong Retails Traders’ Association Business Awards were:
Retailer with more than 10 employees – Coles Dandenong Plaza.
Retailer with less than 10 employees – Brown Gouge Dry Cleaners Dandenong.
Innovative retailer – Preetty Creations.
Retailer with excellent store design – CW Cakes.
Business that represents a culture – Baba Home Entertainment
Chairman’s Award – Ken Grenda, Grenda Corporation.
Central Dandenong retailer of the year – Austgold manufacturing.
Chairperson of the DTRA, Roy Aspinall, said entries for 2008 were greater than ever before.
“Entries were excellent for this, our 10th annual awards and these awards are growing in popularity as time goes by,” Mr Aspinall said.
“The quality of the entries was high –making the task of the judging panel a difficult one.”
