A MAN charged with lighting fires faced court this week. Aaron Duggan, 22, appeared at a hearing at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 24 November.
The court heard Duggan faced 17 charges of arson in relation to a series of fires lit between 1 August this year and his arrest on 17 September. The court heard some of the fires were allegedly lit at houses where occupants resided, and on one occasion three people suffered from smoke inhalation.
The case was adjourned to the County Court in Melbourne, where Duggan will appear on Monday.
