THE new Chifley Doveton hotel will host its first Constellation Hotels national conference this weekend. And it will serve up the first brew from its own micro brewery.
Constellation Hotels is the management company for Chifley Hotels as well as Australis, Country Comfort and Sundowner hotels across Australia and New Zealand.
Executives and sales and marketing teams from Constellation’s central services office will attend alongside hotel general managers from across Australia.
Cameron Stewart, Constellation Hotels’ director of operations, said Chifley Doveton was the ideal choice for this year’s conference.
“Doveton is the newest Chifley hotel in the Constellation Hotels network, and we are delighted to bring our managers from around the country to see the newest hotel in the stable,” he said.
“We can’t deny that there is some internal ego attached to this hotel and we can’t loose the opportunity to show off the newest hotel in our network to our team.”
The conference would provide management and staff with the opportunity to discuss the future of the hotels, participate in team challenges and learn about business planning, Mr Stewart said.
Mr Stewart said that although the conference had serious topics on the agenda, staff would also be able to enjoy the various facilities, including the hotel’s own micro brewery.
“One of the most exciting features of this hotel is the installation of our own micro brewery, which will be a fully operational brewery where locals and hotel guests alike will be able to taste locally brewed beer directly from the brewing tanks, which are the display showpiece of our on-site Cold Water Creek Tavern,” he said.
“This conference has been scheduled to coincide with the very first brew and we felt it was vital to have our national team partake in this historic moment.”
