KEYSBOROUGH Learning Centre (KLC) has heralded another successful year.
It ran more than 50 different educational and community programs over the past 12 months, welcoming more than 2300 participants.
General manager Neil Cooper, at KLC’s recent annual general meeting, said the neighbourhood house had introduced new programs and initiatives to meet the Keysborough community’s needs.
These included upgraded English courses, courses in children’s services, aged care and IT, tablets and WIFI access throughout the centre, a new leadership model for the Men’s Shed, a Rainbows Grief Counselling Program, Breast Cancer Support Group, Australian Hearing Screenings, an AustCycle clinic and a Responsible Gambling and Social Inclusion project.
It also gained charity status and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status for the first time.
