Growing with the town

McLENNAN Real Estate Pty Ltd has grown with Dandenong since before the second world war, first opening its doors to the community in 1936.
In those early days and until well into the 1960s, Dandenong was a country outpost to Melbourne and known as the Gateway to Gippsland.
Predominantly its community was of Anglo Saxon background and then mixed with Italian and Greek immigrants post-war.
These days, Dandenong has become a major business and manufacturing hub and a diverse multi-cultural mix which has made it such a unique and exciting place.
The State Government is eager to see Dandenong be the second major city outside of Melbourne. It already hosts around 50 per cent of the manufacturing base of Victoria.
McLennan Real Estate has now outgrown its original home at 244 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong and its rental office at 30-32 Langhorne Street, Dandenong and has recently moved its operation to a very prominent and highly exposed site behind the Drum Theatre on the corner of Langhorne and Walker Streets at 118 Walker Street, Dandenong. McLennans have secured the ground floor and first level of the building to accommodate its 25-strong staff.
Directors Daryl Rayner and Tony Rachele encourage all to visit the new state of the art offices.
McLennans is sure to continue that personal, friendly, community-based service which has seen them thrive with Dandenong since those early years.
