Help for job seekers

THE Digital Age is here to stay, and at the Hallam Community Learning Centre stories are told of people who are out of work and struggling to find employment. In this backdrop, the centre inquires what it can do.
Thye centre introduced INTEL Learn East Steps courses: Computers for Beginners and Comprehensive Computers for Business Administration.
Both courses run for eight weeks, one session per week.
The centre also runs an iPad/tablet course and workshops to help people “Demystify Windows 8” and for job seekers the centre can offer subsidised course fees.
As well as these courses, the centre offers free public internet access so that job seekers can come and search for jobs. Those manning the centre are also happy to help out with resume writing and job applications for those who need help.
