Video from a Dandenong liquor store shows a nimble thief climbing a metres-high perspex screen to reach a cash register.
Police hope someone will recognise the man in the footage, taken at the Lonsdale Street store about 8.25am on Sunday 18 March.
He can be seen scaling the wall before grabbing cash from the register while a staff member flees.
The man is described as 20 to 30 years old and tall with a slim build.
