Watch is out for new members

GREATER Dandenong Neighbourhood Watch is looking for more members and a hand to get safety news out to the community.
President Dawn Vernon needs help to distribute newsletters throughout the municipality, to places like libraries, clubs, offices, theatres, churches, shops and swimming pools.
She wants more people to be able to pick up the information and the drop-off points are already established.
“They can get more involved if they like, and volunteer at events,” she said.
The group has public forums coming up on 21 August, with Safer Communities Unit Inspector Tony Langdon, and 16 October, with a guest speaker from Community Engagement.
Meetings are held at the Paddy O’Donoghue Community Centre, Room 3, 18-34 Buckley Street, Noble Park, from 7.30pm to 9pm.
All residents are welcome to attend and meet the committee and local police.
Call Dawn on 0407 324 030 or email president@nhwgreaterdandenong.org for more information.
Email editor@nhwgreaterdandenong.org to receive an electronic copy of the newsletter.
