DANDENONG-based investment director and Black Caviar part-owner Colin Madden has struck it lucky again.
It was announced last week that the record-beating mare had conceived to sire Exceed and Excel.
He told the Journal he’d hold onto his stake in the foal and there were plans to “continue the legend of Black Caviar” with trainer Peter Moody in two-and-a-half-years.

DANDENONG Magistrates’ Court was under the pump, with a rowdy lot crowding its holding cells last Monday.
Hollering from the cells was clearly heard from the courtroom most of the day.
Despite magistrates’ best efforts there were still nine holding-bay prisoners awaiting hearing after the lunch break.

NEW figures show 15 per cent of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia residents smoke daily – just below the 16 per cent national average.
That’s about 53,000 people.
The data also showed about 215,000 people in the area were overweight or obese – 60 per cent of the population, again just down on the national average, which is at 63 per cent.
South Eastern Melbourne Medicare Local (SEMML) will use the figures to guide its programs and measure outcomes.
