A SPRINGVALE South man, 36, told police he was growing cannabis in his Heatherton Road home when they arrived to search the property on 31 October.
Greater Dandenong Tasking Unit members executed a search warrant and discovered 24 cannabis plants growing hydroponically, a small amount of dried cannabis in the lounge room and a quantity of dried cannabis in plastic bags in another room.
The man will answer charges of trafficking, cultivating, possessing and using cannabis.
