Theatre beats its drum

CIRCUS, dance, drama, opera, cabaret and more are on the way to the Drum.
The Dandenong theatre launched its 2014 season with a free community event last Thursday, 21 November.
Visitors enjoyed group drumming, puppet making, back stage tours, live music and more, plus a rare preview of upcoming performances.
In a first for Drum Theatre, world-renowned Circa will next year capture imaginations with a breathless performance of new circus, cabaret and vaudeville.
Oz Opera will return with its 2014 premiere of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, and the Drum will host the only Victorian performance of Dirtsong by the Black Arm Band, featuring mesmerizing songs performed in 11 Aboriginal languages.
