Carols in the park
CAROLS by Candlelight will bring music and joy to Dandenong Park again this Christmas.
The Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce event features traditional and contemporary carols, plus a visit from Santa, live music, the great Christmas Gizmo and more.
Bring a rug, candle and picnic.
– Friday 20 December, 7pm. Dandenong Park, Pultney Street, Dandenong. Free entry.
Kids DIY workshops
BUNNINGS Warehouse Dandenong will host free children’s DIY workshops during the schools holidays.
They’re suitable for all ages and will tackle various projects.
– Tuesdays and Thursdays in the summer school holidays from Thursday 2 January. Bunnings Warehouse, 1-5 Gladstone Road, Dandenong. Call 8792 9500 for times. Bookings are recommended.
Free Christmas entertainment
TUBBY the Christmas Robot, Santa, the Balloon Elf, the Great Christmas Gizmo, the Circus Elf, Jingle Bell Jivers and Giant Stilt Elves will bring spread cheer in Greater Dandenong.
They’ll head to the corner of Lonsdale Street and Langhorne Place in Dandenong, the Douglas Street precinct in Noble Park, and Multicultural Place in central Springvale.

Nativity scene display
THE St Elizabeth’s Parish annual Christmas nativity scene is growing bigger and better each year.

Cambodian community fun
CAMBODIAN entertainers will be brought to Springvale South for a three-day festival.
The Universal New Year Festival started about seven years ago to complement the actual Cambodian New Year Festival held every April.
Its aim is to engage Cambodian Australians in festivities at a typically Aussie celebratory time of year, and to fundraise.

Summer holiday fun
AN ACTION-PACKED school holiday program for 11 to 25-year-olds is on its way to Springvale, Noble Park and Dandenong.
Cooking classes, art workshops, sports activities and more will culminate in the Australia Day Festival in the Park.
All activities and events are fully supervised and strictly drugs, alcohol and smoke-free.
