On course for charity

HANOVER Welfare Services will benefit from a special round of golf this month.
South East Business Networks (SEBN) launched this year’s Take a Swing for Charity at Sandhurst Golf Club on 3 February.
Golfers will hit the Skye course on 24 February.
The event has raised more than $160,000 for the community’s most vulnerable residents over the past four years.
Hanover CEO Tony Keenan said this year’s proceeds would provide a playground, laundry facilities, a dental brokerage fund for children, and childcare for mums returning to work.
The service for the homeless will celebrate its 50th birthday this year and runs Bob’s Place in Dandenong, which helps more than 1000 people each year.
Take a Swing for Charity needs event sponsors, players, hole sponsors, auction prizes, financial donations and attendees for the after-game dinner.
Kia Dandenong is again providing a car for the ‘hole in one’ competition, with other major sponsors including KPJ Group, Grenda Corporation, Bombardier Transportation, Norden Conversion, Future Metals Recycling and Ventura Bus Lines.
Call SEBN on 8571 1576 or email sebn@cgd.vic.gov.au for more information.
