POLICE have released CCTV images of a thirsty thief who held up a Springvale bottle shop on 14 March.
He left the Waltzing Matilda Hotel just after 3.30pm after trying unsuccessfully to pay for a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, but he soon returned wearing a motorcycle helmet and brandishing a screwdriver.
The thief threatened the female staff member behind the counter, demanded cash and fled on a motorbike with a small amount of money.
He’s described as Caucasian and aged in his 30s with short hair and strapping or bandaging on his left leg.
He was wearing a black T-shirt with a white logo, black shorts and runners.
