Girl disturbs burglar

AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD girl woke to find a burglar in the lounge room of her Noble Park home.
Police said a man entered the Vallota Crescent property about 5am on Friday 23 May as five people slept inside.
He ransacked the premises and removed electrical items, including some in rooms where children were sleeping.
When the girl disturbed him, the burglar stole car keys and a Ford sedan and fled.
Police arrested a 21-year-old Springvale South man that evening as he abandoned the car and tried to run from officers on Heatherton Road, Dandenong North.
They recovered stolen goods in the car and charged the man with aggravated burglary.
He will appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 4 June.
