Cut-throat threat

By CAM LUCADOU-WELLS

A TAXI cabin’s camera has captured graphic footage of a cabbie being robbed by a knife-wielding passenger in Dandenong North last month.
The images depict a rear passenger holding a knife to the driver’s throat while allegedly demanding cash and car keys on 21 May.
The passenger had earlier flagged down the taxi at the corner of Kelvinside and Heatherton roads, Noble Park, at 6.20pm.
He instructed the cabbie to drive him to Victoria Court, Dandenong North.
As the cab pulled over in the cul-de-sac, the driver was robbed of his cash and car keys at knifepoint.
The robber, described as a Pacific Islander man in his 30s wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and a large crucifix necklace, escaped on foot.
He was last seen on Carlton Road, Dandenong North.
