NOBLE Park schools dug in for National Tree Day last Friday.
St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School invited grandparents and special friends to join students for activities throughout the day, including tree planting.
About 150 kids from Silverton Primary School in Noble Park North picked up shovels alongside staff from Dandenong’s Patterson Cheney Toyota and company ambassador Hawks forward Cyril Rioli.
Planet Ark’s National Tree Day on Sunday 27 July and Schools Tree Day, on 25 July, are designed to inspire Australia’s next generation to get into nature and help preserve the environment.
