Man critical after traffic light crash

TWO men were seriously injured in a car crash on the Princes Highway at Dandenong last night.

A police spokeswoman said a Mitsubishi sedan travelling towards Dandenong crashed into a traffic light near the Fifth Avenue intersection shortly before 11pm.

The passenger, a 20-year-old Dandenong man, was taken to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.

The 30-year-old driver of Noble Park was taken to The Alfred in a serious state.

“The (Major Collision Investigation Unit) will be at the scene to investigate the cause,” the spokeswoman said.
