Writers help their readers

STUDENTS at Haileybury’s Keysborough campus received a hand with their reading skills last week – from some well-known authors.
Preps celebrated Book Week with Lee Fox, who wrote picture book Ella Kazoo Will Not Brush Her Hair, and years two, three and four heard from well-known writer and illustrator Terry Denton.
Year four boys will tomorrow (Tuesday) hear from George Ivanoff who authored the year five and six reading list trilogy the Gamers.
Year four girls will hear from Gabrielle Wang on Thursday, an author whose fiction books for girls include the Pearlie series.
The celebrations will culminate in a Book Week parade on Friday, which will double as a fundraiser for the school’s water well project in Ethiopia.
