ROTARY is offering young workers a chance to change things up – in Turkey.
The Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is a cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young business and professional men and women aged between 25 and 40.
Rotary District 9820, which includes Dandenong, will send a group to Istanbul next April.
Dandenong Rotarian Don Cantwell said the district would cover all airfares and families from District 2430 Rotary clubs would host the group.
“They would be shown a lot of highlights in the area where they visit and would attend a vocational day per week arranged by host clubs in Turkey,” he said.
“This allows team members to see how their profession or business operates there.
“They can also pass on some of their knowledge to them.”
Turkey will send a group to visit District 9820 during March and early April next year.
“The team from here will arrive in Istanbul for an international peace conference on 16 April then commence their exchange proper, which will continue through to about 25 May,” Mr Cantwell said.
