SENIORS across Greater Dandenong got active last week to celebrate the Victorian Seniors Festival.
The theme for this year’s event, which ran from 5 to 12 October, was Taking Good Care of Yourself.
Last Friday, artist Adrienne Kneebone ran an indigenous weaving workshop at Cooinda Centre in Springvale, Noble Park Tennis Club hosted a ‘try tennis’ event, and Zumba Gold at Jan Wilson Community Centre in Noble Park North energised bodies and minds.
Dandenong Croquet Club held a ‘try croquet’ day on Saturday 11 October, and a Noble Park Community Action Forum presentation at Paddy O’Donoghue Centre on Wednesday 8 October provided advice for older residents.
