Days of blazes

ARSONISTS lit three blazes at two Dandenong reserves in two days.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Tony Lavars believes the same people could be responsible for the fires at Falkiner Crescent and Leonard Street.
Police on patrol spotted smoke coming from Leonard Street just after 3pm on 29 January.
The CFA extinguished the 30 metre by 20 metre grass fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
Sen Const Lavars said it could be linked to two fires that werr lit in Falkiner Reserve just after 6am on 27 January.
The first burnt a 10m by 10m area and the second covered 50m by 20m before the CFA attended and extinguished the blazes.
“There’s no reason why it would have started on its own so we are treating it as suspicious,” Sen Const Lavars said.
He urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
