Company’s journey around the world

VENTURA put Cultural Diversity Week in the spotlight last Friday – and on a plate.
The Dandenong company printed posters bearing flags for each of the 40 cultures its workers represent and the words ‘We are Ventura’ in languages from around the world.
“One of the things that makes Ventura such a special place to work is the diverse culture of our employees and this was a great opportunity to share some wonderful food from various countries,” spokeswoman Sarah O’Connor said.
Workers brought a plate of food to represent their heritage to the 20 March event, with the menu including Croatian spinach and feta pita, Indian dokhla and samosa, Portuguese custard tarts, Lebanese za’atar and felafel, Greek semolina cake and Aussie Anzac biscuits and meat pies.
“It’s something that we’ll look at doing every year,” Ms O’Connor said.
