Saturday 18 April, 9.30am to 11am
Dandenong Primary School will hold a ceremony to plant a Gallipoli Oak and rededicate an honour board with names of students who served in WWI.

Tuesday 21 April, 10am
A planting ceremony for giant red poppies the community has created will take place on the Dandenong Civic Square grassed area.
The Poppies for Peace will travel across Greater Dandenong throughout the year, with a final display coinciding with Remembrance Day on 11 November.

Friday 24 April, 9am
Dandenong High School will hold Anzac assemblies.

Saturday 25 April
Dandenong RSL will hold an Anzac Day dawn service at 5.45am at the Pillars of Freedom, corner Clow Street and Princes Highway, Dandenong.
Participants will assemble at Clow Street and Stud Road at 10.30am for a march and a second service.

Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 April, 10.30am
Musical concert Great Songs of The War Years will feature international opera stars.
The 80-minute show is on at the Drum Theatre, corner Lonsdale and Walker streets, Dandenong. Tickets are priced from $15. Visit www.drumtheatre.com.au or call 8571 1666.

Dandenong Library will feature photos of Dandenong dating back to WWI, local soldier stories and WWI memorabilia on loan from the Dandenong RSL and Springvale and District Historical Society president Colin Robinson.

NOBLE PARK
Sunday 19 April, 10.30am
There’ll be a march and service at Noble Park RSL, 1128 Heatherton Road, Noble Park.

Wednesday 22 April, 10.30am
Noble Park RSL has invited school groups to commemorate Anzac Day with a service and planting of a Lone Pine.

SPRINGVALE
Sunday 19 April, 10am
Marchers will meet at the corner of Springvale Road and Union Grove, Springvale, and march to the Springvale War Memorial for a commemoration service at 10.20am.

Until 30 April
An Army-issue biscuit sent home from Gallipoli is among WWI and WWII artefacts and uniforms on display at Springvale and District Historical Society, 7 Hillcrest Grove, Springvale.
On Parade: Australian Defence Force – Sudan to Afghanistan is open 1pm to 4pm Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and other times by appointment. Call 9547 6460.
