A BOMB hoax caused a complete evacuation of Dandenong Railway Station on Saturday.
“In this environment it’s not ideal,” Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Sergeant Glen Cruse said.
“It just goes to creating more angst in the community.”
Sgt Cruse said a man called triple zero with a threat against the station from a public telephone booth in Foster Street, Dandenong, about 9.20pm on 18 April.
Police evacuated and locked down the station and cleared the surrounding area.
Sgt Cruse said no bomb was located and transit detectives were investigating.
He urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
