Petrol thief hunt

A BRAZEN thief who stole a car in Dandenong South has been using it in a spate of petrol drive-offs throughout the state.
Police are investigating the series of drive-offs which occurred last month in Mooroolbark, Ringwood and Chirnside Park involving a black 2014 Holden Commodore which is believed to have been stolen from Amberley Crescent on 9 or 10 April.
Detectives have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
He is Caucasian, aged in his 40s with a stocky build and has curly blonde hair.
Police also believe the car may be bearing its original registration plates, 1CB-1VQ, or stolen plates, 1CP-8HO.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
