PRE-DESIGN works have started on Noble Park’s level crossing removal projects.
Geotechnical investigations started on the Heatherton, Chandler and Corrigan road crossings last week, along with six others on the Cranbourne- Pakenham line.
Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams said this was a critical milestone in the project.
She said geotechnical investigations would provide critical information about underground water and soil conditions that would inform design and construction.
The nine level crossings will be removed by late 2018.
