Giving to do good

THE Good Guys throughout the south east are celebrating a donation milestone with more cash for the community.
The store has donated more than $8 million to more than 200 charities and community organisations throughout Australia through its Local Giving Program.
Its Cranbourne, Dandenong, Narre Warren and Pakenham stores are now accepting nominations for schools, community groups, charities, families and individuals for a helping hand during Doing Good Week.
Staff are looking for opportunities to do good – big or small – from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 August.
“We will undertake seven acts of Doing Good as part of Doing Good Week and we encourage everyone to nominate a person or group they think deserves it most,” Dandenong proprietor Allen Garb said.
“We strongly believe in strengthening our community by supporting essential programs, services and projects at a grassroots level.”
Nominations can be made in stores or via facebook.com/thegoodguysAU from Monday 13 July to Sunday 16 August.
