PLUMES of black smoke from an industrial waste site fire caused the CFA to issue an advice warning to Dandenong South.
Crews responded to the suspicious building fire in Ordish Road, about 8.35am on Sunday 11 October.
It involved a shed at the rear of the premises, about 60 metres by 30 metres in size.
Incident Controller Glen Proebstl said the shed was storing materials ready for disposal.
“Around 50 per cent of the shed was saved thanks to the great work by crews,” he said.
“The other 50 per cent was gone prior to our arrival.”
Firefighters from Dandenong, Frankston and Springvale attended alongside Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and police members.
