Candidates take their places

The Animal Justice Party has secured top spot on the ballot paper in Greater Dandenong’s most hotly contested federal election seat.
The Australian Electoral Commission finalised the order for each electorate through a randomised draw on Friday 10 June ahead of the Saturday 2 July poll.
In Bruce – vacated by retiring ALP MP Alan Griffin – Douglas Ronald Leith from the Animal Justice Party relegated Liberal hopeful Helen Kroger to third place and ALP candidate Julian Hill to spot six.
Stefanie Bauer from The Greens has second place, Family First has fourth with Nathan Foggie, Renewable Energy Party candidate Jill Jarvis-Wills has fourth spot and Alan Roncan from Drug Law Reform rounds out the paper.
Liberal candidate George Hua took top spot on the Hotham ballot paper.
Animal Justice Party’s Helen Ann Jeges is second on the list, followed by ALP incumbent Clare O’Neil, The Greens’ James Bennett, Family First Party’s Tatiana Rathbone and Peter Vassiliou from Rise Up Australia Party.
Isaacs has a field of just four candidates.
The Greens’ Alex Breskin is first on the list, followed by ALP incumbent Mark Dreyfus, Liberal Garry Spencer and Animal Justice Party’s Elizabeth Johnston.
