Pedestrian seriously injured

A 31-year-old Springvale South pedestrian has been injured after colliding with a car in Springvale South.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives have been told that a Mazda hatchback being driven by a 50-year-old Springvale South woman was travelling west on Paterson Road when it collided with the man just east of Springvale Road about 4.30am on Thursday 22 September.
He sustained significant injuries and was taken to hospital.
The Mazda driver stopped at the scene and assisted police with their inquiries.
Detectives are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
Paterson Road was closed for some time while Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives processed the scene.
