Two men in their twenties from Springvale South and Noble Park have been arrested for almost 20 offences following a number of crimes in the Southern and Eastern Suburbs.
The two men were arrested by police on Cheltenham Road in Dandenong on Thursday 12 January at about 5.30pm.
Police spotted the two driving in a BMW that was bearing stolen number plates and took them in for questioning.
The men were questioned about incidents including an alleged burglary on Admirala Avenue, Dandenong North on 30 November, a police car ramming on Stud Road, Wantirna South on 11 January and an attempted robbery on Cheltenham Road, Keysborough on 11 January.
The two men clocked up about 14 charges between them once police had processed them.
The 23-year-old from Springvale South was charged with reckless conduct endangering persons, escape, theft, handling stolen goods, attempted carjacking, aggravated burglary, attempting to obtain property by deception, using a drug of dependence and attempted robbery.
The 27-year-old from Noble Park was charged with false imprisonment, assault with a weapon, possessing a drug of dependence, possessing property suspected of being proceeds of crime and being a prohibited person possessing an imitation firearm.
The two men appeared before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Friday 13 January.
