Kinder kids are getting a head start at St Anthony’s Catholic Primary.
The Noble Park school opened its new early learning centre at the start of the school year.
“The standard to our students’ oral language was falling with each new intake,” Principal Patrika Rowley said.
“We had two very healthy playgroups with people asking us ‘why don’t we have a kinder?’.
“Our partnerships with the community were strong and we felt that it would strengthen our link to have a flow through from birth to 12.
“This would also assist our parish to make connections with families prior to school.”
Then-principal Marg Batt successfully applied for a $650,000 State Government grant and the school chipped in more cash to bring the project to fruition.
Learning links grow stronger
