Three…free library activities for kids and parents

1. The Dandenong and Springvale libraries offer free Baby Bounce, Toddler Time and Storytime sessions during school terms.
Listening to stories helps children to develop their imagination and vocabulary.
At Baby Bounce, singing and playing with simple musical instruments helps bubs to develop motor skills and confidence.
Toddler Time and Storytime help carers to learn songs and nursery rhymes to enjoy with their children at home.
2. Springvale Library hosts free family fun sessions each Saturday at 11am during school terms.
Children and their carers can play with Lego, puzzles and games.
Playing games together can improve literacy, numeracy, spatial awareness, socially appropriate behaviour and fair play.
3. Springvale Library hosts a free language playgroup for families seeking asylum each Wednesday during school terms.
Children aged up to five years and their parents can improve their English skills through play, songs, rhymes and stories. Call 1300 630 920 for more information.
