Dandenong High election pledge

Dandenong High School will receive an $8.4 million upgrade under an election pledge by the State Government.

Education Minister James Merlino announced that a re-elected Government would fund new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) facilities.

New canteen and food technology spaces would also be created.

It comes on top of a recent $3 million State allocation to upgrade the school’s library.

“We’re already upgrading the school library but there’s more to do and only Labor will deliver it with $8.4 million for a new canteen and food technology space,” Mr Merlino said.

Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams said the Government had built or upgraded more than 1300 schools since coming to office.

“No matter where you live in Victoria, every student deserves to have a great school – a re-elected Andrews Labor Government will make sure they do.”
