Centenarian’s song of praise

A great-great-grandmother has been feted by family, her lifelong best friend and councillors during her 100th birthday celebrations.

Rosina Iannuzzi drew the crowd for her milestone birthday at her residence Belvedere Aged Care in Noble Park on 4 March.

During the ceremony, she broke into song – an Italian piece to praise God for her long life.

Greater Dandenong mayor Roz Blades and councillor Maria Sampey were also in attendance.

The day before, she was taken out to a restaurant by family, including five children, 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Born in Alta Monte, Calabria, Ms Iannuzzi is still fond of Italian cooking as well as keeping in touch with her expansive family.
