Parkmore robbery attempt: 15yo boys arrested

A 17-year-old boy has fled from two teens who attempted to rob him outside Parkmore shopping centre.

The victim was approached by the 15-year-old males on Chandler Road, Keysborough about 3.30pm on Tuesday 21 May.

One of the would-be robbers demanded the victim’s phone or he’d bash the victim.

The same alleged offender then pulled a rolled-up piece of clothing from his bum-bag, claiming that he had a gun.

The victim escaped without injury, running into the nearby shopping centre and alerting its security guards.

The guards detained the alleged robbers until police arrived and arrested the pair.

The teen, who allegedly claimed to have a gun, was charged by police and remanded. The other was bailed on charges.
