Carjacked by take-out

A man has been carjacked in front a row of food outlets in Clow Street Dandenong.

The 31-year-old Lalor man had been driving around the KFC car park, searching for a car spot about 8pm on Friday 12 July, police say.

The driver lowered his Mercedes vehicle’s window when he was approached by a male asking for the time.

The stranger then tried to open the car door.

The victim drove away and parked elsewhere on Clow Street to try for a feed of pizza instead.

After he got out of his car, the same stranger approached him again.

“Give me your f***ing keys,” the man told the victim. He drew the victim’s gaze to the blade of a knife protruding from his pocket.

The victim handed over his keys and fled.

The car-jacker was described as Caucasian appearance and aged in his 40’s.

The stolen car has not been recovered.

Any information to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersvic.com.au, or Greater Dandenong CIU on 9767 7487.
