Five names have been shortlisted for Springvale’s new under-construction community precinct.
The $51.5 million precinct on the site of Greater Dandenong Council’s former offices includes a new two-level public building with a library, meeting spaces, cafe and art gallery.
A vast outdoors recreational area as well as the City Hall and Supper Room will also form part of the precinct.
The shortlist of names are Springvale Civic Centre, Springvale Community Hub, Springvale Community Place, Springvale Library and Springvale Place.
The council is considering whether to name the entire precinct, the two-storey building only or both.
