Teen girl robbed in Dandenong

A 13-year-old girl has been allegedly robbed by a woman while walking in central Dandenong.

Police say the robber approached and tried to snatch a phone from the victim’s hand in a shopping strip on McCrae Street, Dandenong about 6pm on Tuesday 19 November.

During a struggle, the woman grabbed the phone and walked away.

The teen followed and was verbally threatened by the offender, police say.

Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released an image of a woman that they believe can assist their investigation.
