Salvos to close Doveton warehouse

The Salvation Army has announced it will close its food bank warehouse in Doveton on July 1.

Distribution of food in the Doveton area would not be cut, the Salvation Army’s Major Andrew Craib said.

Storage and distribution will now be carried out from a Salvation Army warehouse in Brunswick and a Foodbank Victoria facility in Yarraville.

Donations of food and goods can still be made to Doveton Community Support Services at 1A Frawley Road in Doveton.

Details: 9793 3933.
